FAQ
Thank you very much for your interest in our products. Do you have a question? You can find the answer in our list of FAQ.
What should be considered before commissioning X-ray tubes and X-ray tube assemblies?
The generator used must have a control circuit with filament current limitation.
According to the manufacturer’s specifications, this must be adjusted (e.g., data sheet) to prevent overheating of the filament when switching on (please refer to our application notes regarding lifetime).
The X-ray tube assembly must be stored at room temperature for at least 48 hours before commissioning.
We recommend a warm-up before initial operation, see application guidelines.
How long is the lifetime of an X-ray tube / X-ray tube assembly?
The lifetime depends on the operating conditions and operational parameters. Please refer to our application guidelines for further information.
The warranty period is 12 months, as stated in the terms and conditions.
Is the focal spot adjustable through grid scatter?
The focal spots listed on our final test datasheet correspond to the actual focal spots of the X-ray tube under normal operating conditions.
The grid control can be used to “close” or “pulse” the X-ray tube; please refer to our application notes for more details.
Are there special procedures for transportation? What should be considered?
The packaging must be designed in a way that the goods are not subjected to impacts. If you receive the package through a carrier, it should be inspected immediately for any external damages.
For international shipments, the package may be opened by customs; upon receipt, the goods should be promptly checked for any damage.
Can damage to an X-ray tube in the radiation protection housing be detected?
Please refer to our application notes regarding the X-ray tube quick test for more information.
Is it possible to replace the X-ray tube in the radiation protection housing or repair the X-ray tube assembly?
Replacement of the X-ray tube is only possible at our facility.
The components are not user-repairable.
The warranty claim is void if disassembly or loosening of fasteners is done by the user.
Are there regulations for the disposal of X-ray tubes and assembly?
The waste oil is to be disposed of in a proper manner.
The Be-windows are also to be turned over to a processing plant.
We offer a proper disposal within our facility.
